Diet

The Optimum Diet is medicine, fuel and comfort our bodies need, in order to  give us the health we  were made to enjoy. Whether human or animal what we eat plays a pivotal role in how we enjoy life.

The objective of eating the optimum diet is to gain the vitality to enjoy life to the full. It is not just the absence of a disease but more .It is  a recognised science, that our state of being is directly influenced by our diet. In keeping with their genetic make up, eating what is a natural food source is an important key to good health for all animals.

Mankind has made a lot of changes to the environment and enclose animals that were once free to roam and scavenge. Now they are at the mercy of what we give them to eat. At times unknowingly we have not understood their needs and today we see in animals the results of industrialisation and its dictates, introduced to foreign foods fillers, colours, preservatives, and products called food totally devoid of real nutrition.

In the veterinary Profession we are witnessing animals experiencing modern western diseases just like their owners.
We encourage a move away from highly processed foods to a diet suitable for your particular pet whether a canine, feline, farm animal, horse, pocket pet or bird. Its time to consider other ways of looking at your food source and the wellbeing of your pet.

Some may argue that its more expensive to feed your pet well but the real equation is this Feed well= good health, less illness related trips to the vets, happy animals. Feed poorly= short term looks good price wise, but low state of health, increased risk of diseases, frequent vet bills, unhappy animal.
